Bake a Cake in the shape of a volcano.  You can bake your favorite flavor cake and decorate with chocolate icing for the land, red icing for the lava. You can drizzle the red icing, or yellow or orange or make lava paths.  Around the bottom of the cake you can crush chocolate cookies for dirt.

Make the mountain shape by baking in a 2 quart
(extra large) measuring cup or use a 2 quart glass or metal mixing bowl for your cake pan to bake the cake.  Or use many round cakes. Put them on top of each other, cut the shape into a mountain shape. Each picture links to a recipe and instructions for making that cake.

The dry ice cake,uses a little cup at the top of the cake. For smoking effect, Put a little piece of dry ice in the cup when ready to serve. Add a few drops of water to the dry ice for extra smoke.
